|  The Kids Initiative was launched at midnight on March 4th with a vision to create a nonpartisan opportunity to build a clearinghouse of nonprofit organization, faith-based affiliations, and businesses that are concerned about kids on their streets, their family, their neighborhood, and the global community.
Four nonprofit organizations are collaborating in this effort – OneStop Business Institute, Inc. (Mobile, AL), Safe Kids Now (Alameda, CA), Carr Foundation (Tracy, CA) and Community Care Network (Ocean Springs, MS).
Our guiding philosophy is: “What impacts our kids impacts kids all over the world. What impacts kids all over the world impacts our kids.”
During the next six months, media releases and feature stories will be sent to global media and US legislators. We will provide you with links, information and resources as our network grows.
The listing is free to all organizations, groups or businesses, as long as you have a website link, and focus on kids. If your corporate social responsibility involves kids, then join us, as we build our goal of 500 organizations linked by July 4, 2011. We will provide by state on our website by April 15 a list that will link to your website. Sponsor partnerships will be available by April 15.
Kids can also get involved by filling out the Contact Form and just giving us their first name, city and state. We want a way for all citizens of this world to be involved.
